There are so many great restaurants and eateries throughout Key West and Homestead, from “quick bites” to stunning culinary experiences.
But with our world recently being turned upside down, restaurants have been hit hard.
That’s why I want to take a moment to highlight, share, and support five of my favorite local restaurants.
#1 – Five Spice Vietnamese
They specialize in traditional Vietnamese Fare, as well as Sushi. Both are incredibly delicious. They are the ONLY Vietnamese in Homestead & they are the BEST Sushi in Homestead hands down.
The business is family-owned, so you are treated with extra special care whether you dine in or take out.

#2 – The Cafe
Chill spot adorned with local art, serving globally inspired vegetarian, vegan & seafood eats. Gluten-free, very friendly. I am not vegan, but these provisions could easily make you go there. Consistently fabulous!
Consistently fresh! Constantly leaving me wanting more!

#3 – Clemente’s Trolley Pizzeria
You talk about amazing wood-fired pizza! Clemente’s was my go-to during the pandemic shut down.
Mouthwatering pizzas and salads and everything. My favorite is the Hot Pepper & Soppressata Pizza.
These guys really know how to make the perfect pizza!

#4 – La Trattoria Oceanside
For a divine evening of food & drinks (martini’s), this is my place in Key West. They have a daily seafood special, which is always my go-to.
I can never go wrong. Oh & the bread! I can eat a loaf by myself before dinner is served. Did I forget to mention the martini’s I love the “dirty goose”?
The food and drinks are divine, as well as the consistently friendly service!

#5 – Casita Tejas
Unless you live in Homestead (like I do now), there are few reasons to venture so far south other than for incredible, inexpensive, authentic Mexican food.
Casita Tejas is where you can go for dishes that meet all three of the above criteria. Prior to living here, we used to make this trek at least once a month for the mouthwatering Mexican food and BYOB.
It was fun and still is! – and was well worth the drive.
During these difficult times, it’s hard to comprehend the strain our local favorites are going through. Please consider visiting these fantastic five restaurants. They will appreciate the support & your tummy will thank you!
With all our love.
